He knew I loved him enough...

Mình muốn đọc cuốn này, bởi mình thích Carine McCandless.

Nhớ đến cô - em gái của chàng siêu lang thang Chris McCandless, mình nhớ đến một "tiếng nói phía sau" trầm tĩnh và thấu hiểu: "I wondered why he hadn't tried to call in case I might answer. He could've hung up if it wasn't me. Why wouldn't he send a letter, maybe through a friend? It hurt a little, but I told myself it was good. He knew I loved him enough to bear with the not knowing".

Lần nào xem Into the wild (tối hôm kia vô tình kênh Cinemax chiếu bộ phim này), lần nào mình cũng cảm động khi nghe câu đó: Anh biết tình yêu của tôi dành cho anh đủ lớn để có thể chịu đựng việc không biết gì cả. 

Có một thời mình mê ca khúc Guaranteed của Eddie Vedder viết cho Into the wild: “...Don't come closer or I'll have to go / Owning me like gravity are places that pull / If ever there was someone to keep me at home / It would be you...”. 

Chắc không phải ai cũng biết “you” trong lời ca của Eddie chính là Carine. 

Mình yêu Eddie cũng vì câu đó :).

Đến hôm qua mới biết là Carine có viết sách.

Chris, "anh" đã mất sớm, nhưng có hề gì nhỉ? Tháng năm không đo được ý nghĩa của cuộc sống. Qua Carine, tôi càng tin anh đã hạnh phúc như những lời cuối anh viết.
